From intake to ongoing support
What happens in nutrition appointments?
Understand your starting point
Your nutrition intake reviews your health history, medications, available bloodwork, food preferences, culture, schedule and goals. Bring the everyday challenges you want help with, such as planning meals around work or feeding a family.
Turn your plan into practical choices
Work with your practitioner on food choices, meal structure and routines that fit your circumstances. Your dietary and lifestyle plan reflects your starting point; follow-up conversations help you put it into practice.
Review what is working
Private follow-ups give you time to discuss appetite, meal choices, plateaus and consistency. You and your practitioner review progress, work through barriers and refine your plan toward your agreed goals.
Nutritionist-led programs can include a 90-minute intake and 30–40-minute follow-ups. Your proposal confirms the actual appointment lengths, visit count, frequency and program duration before you enroll.
Meal timing or fasting may be discussed when appropriate, but fasting is optional. Read about personalized intermittent-fasting support.
Know who you will meet
Nutritionist or dietitian: who leads my care?
Most Weight2Lose patients begin with nutritionist support for dietary guidance and accountability. Nutritionist or Registered Dietitian appointments can be discussed during your first program conversation, subject to your needs and practitioner availability.
Ask for your proposed practitioner's professional title, qualifications and role. If you specifically need a Registered Dietitian, make that part of the conversation before agreeing to a program.
The College of Dietitians of Ontario provides guidance on the dietitian title and checking registration.
Your dietary care
Your practitioner helps translate your personalized plan into food choices and daily routines. Appointments provide time for questions, practical challenges and plan refinement within their professional scope.
When additional care is needed
Medical, naturopathic or other professional consultations can be arranged when appropriate. Additional services and fees are explained before you agree and are separate unless expressly included in your proposal. Medication decisions remain with your prescribing clinician.

Before purchasing, confirm coverage directly with your insurer using the proposed practitioner's exact credentials and service details. Do not assume that nutritionist and dietitian visits have the same coverage.

What does a Weight2Lose program cost?
Your program is tailored to the practitioners involved, how often you meet with each, and the program length. As a general budget guide, allow around CAD $200–$400 per month, averaged over a six- to twelve-month program, plus applicable tax.
We can also tailor shorter programs and smaller combinations of visits. Your personalized quote may be lower or higher than this guide. The monthly figure describes an average cost, not a monthly payment plan.
During your free consultation, our Program Director will work with you to align appropriate support with your needs and budget. You will receive the proposed services, total cost and payment schedule before deciding whether to proceed.
Ask which nutrition appointments are included and which other services would cost extra. Review your proposal alongside the Program Agreement and cancellation and refund terms.
